What is the screening process you undertake on your child care experts?
All of our experts have been verified with Criminal Background Checks done by leading third party agency. We also do an ID document check to be sure the experts are in India legally. All our child care experts have been interviewed by one of our consultants in a face to face interview. They will have relevant child related experience with reference checks that have been personally conducted by one of our team members. We pride ourselves in providing our families with the highest calibre of child care.
How do you find your child care experts?
We actively recruit experienced child care experts. Many of our providers are referred to us by parents, friends, and existing child care experts. We also have an application form on our website that we use to vet candidates.
Do you offer overnight care?
Yes, our providers do offer overnight care. Payments are processed differently than a typical daytime booking.
Can homechildcare.in accommodate my unique request?
We’re happy to help! Connect with our support team via email or call us to tell us more about what you’re looking for. We will work with you and do our best to accommodate your child care needs.
Is there a minimum time commitment for a child care booking?
A child care booking is a minimum of four (4) hours. You are not required to use the full four (4) hours; however, we would charge for the four (4) hours out of travel considerations for the child care experts.
A Pediatrician is immediately available if needed.
Is there a maximum number of children per child care booking?
For safety considerations, we require a second child care experts when there are more than two children under the age of three years old, or when there are more than three children total.
Will I get the same child care expert every time I book from Homechildcare.in?
You are able to request a certain babysitter, by adding the babysitters name in special requests, or you can email and put through a request. We will always let the experts know that you have requested them and if they are unable to accept the booking, then it will be made available to others as sometimes the requested sitter may not always be available.
Do I need to provide transport to the Child Care Expert?
All Child Care Experts reach through their own transportation to and from each booking. There are no additional for transportation charges.
Can I meet the Child Care Experts?
On the first visit your booking, Child Care Expert will arrive 15 minutes early, free of charge, to spend some time with your children and to allow time for any instructions (bedtime routines, food etc.)
Is there anything that the Child Care Expert can not do?
Child Care Expert will not clean, do laundry, drive with you or your children in any car, run errands, make deliveries, give baths or showers, give medication, supervise medications or allow anyone not pre authorized by the client into the home.
Do I get a refund if you can’t find a Child Care Expert?
Yes – if Homechildcare.in is unable to place an expert for your booking, your fee is fully refundable. Once confirmation of a child care expert is made the booking fee is non-refundable. Also view our Terms & Conditions page in regards to refunds.
How many children can you have with one Child Care Expert?
We have a maximum of two children per expert – child care experts at their discretion may request that more than one expert is required for reasons of safety and wellbeing of the children. For example if a client/s booked one child care expert for two children under the age of three – this would require two child care experts.
How long can the booking process take?
Each child care request is unique according to your location and the availability of our experts. Once your request has been received it will get the appropriate expert to fulfil your request. We share with you the details of the child care expert that we would like you to consider.
What additional housekeeping duties can we ask the nanny to do?
Normally child care experts are expected to keep children engaged, children’s rooms and living areas clean and tidy and organize children meals. At the time of the booking, you can share discuss what extra duties you are interested in the experts performing.
What additional care do we need?
Homechildcare.in thoroughly vets candidates through a rigorous screening process but accidents can and do happen. As an employer, you are required to provide a safe workplace to your child care expert. In the unfortunate event of an accident occurring in your home during her working hours, your child care expert would have the right to bring a claim for reimbursement of costs and compensation, if you were found to be negligent.

What do I do after I accept a child care booking?
After accepting a babysitting booking online, we require you to contact the client within 24 hours to introduce yourself to them directly. If a client wants to meet with you beforehand, depending on how far in advance a bookings is placed, this is possible. If you do meet, for security reasons, please ensure you arrange to meet in a public place. If for any reason you feel uncomfortable when you arrive at the booking address – please ensure you follow our guidelines for your own safety here at our Terms & Conditions page
What age do I have to be to be able to join your agency?
Home Child Care believes that 40+ years is a suitable age for child care experts to represent our company.
Are my personal details kept confidential?
Yes they are. For your own security, please do not put any personal information ie mobile phone, email address etc.All information about you is kept in our secured part of our site. This information is kept only for reference to the sitting job.
Why do I have to fill in a profile page?
Your profile will be sent to the parents once you have accepted the child care job. This is just to let the parent know a little bit about yourself, please make sure this is user friendly, talks about your experience with children.
Why do I have to fill in the registration contact form that is emailed through to us?
Once you register you will be emailed through a contact registration form, this has your references – which will need to at least include two referees. Medical questions and general information we require to have on file. Please email this through to your regional office as soon as possible and they will then bring you in for an interview.
Am I able to charge a higher hourly rate?
Not for child care bookings, the rates on the website pricing page are the rates you are to be paid and under no circumstances are you to ask for more money.
How is payment made?
Payment is made to you at the end of the booking. You will need to share with us with your bank account details.
How early can I arrive for the booking?
Arrive atleast 15 min before you are required, so you have time to understand the client’s requirements.
What should I do if a family asks if I am available to babysit for them again?
If you have been contacted by a client to take a child care booking again, please inform us. Under no circumstances are you to accept private bookings – if a client requests you again, that is not a problem. Inform the client to contact us – we can assign the booking directly to you. If we find that you have been taking private bookings with clients, we will suspend your account with Homechildcare.in and you will no longer be part of our group.
